The King’s Children · Unity Temple

Little hearts. Deep roots. A living faith.

Children deserve more than Bible facts alone. We want them to know Jesus, understand His Word, find their place in the church family, and learn to live what they believe.

“Train up a child in the way he should go...”Proverbs 22:6

Join us Sunday

Plan a visit

Our children’s and youth session begins each Sunday at 11:30 AM in a breakout room at Unity Temple Church. Children may join the 11:00 AM worship gathering first, or come for the children’s session without attending worship in the main worship center.

Our vision

Faith that grows with them.

At Unity Temple, children are part of the life of the church. Our aim is to help each child encounter God’s love, ask honest questions, learn the Scriptures, and practice following Jesus at home, at school, and among friends.

01 / BELONG

Known and welcomed

Children need caring adults and a church family that learns their names, listens to them, and makes room for their gifts.

02 / BELIEVE

Grounded in the Word

Age appropriate Bible teaching helps children understand who Jesus is and why His life, death, and resurrection matter.

03 / BECOME

Faith put into action

Prayer, worship, kindness, service, and testimony help children connect what they learn with everyday choices.

A simple pathway

Room to wonder. A path to grow.

Children grow at different paces. We can guide them with patience, clear teaching, and meaningful chances to respond.

  1. SearchMake space for questions, curiosity, and discovering what Scripture says.

Try this week’s family faith activity

About ten minutes together. A parent or caregiver can lead it with one child or a whole family.

Read Mark 10:13–16 together in your Bible. Notice who brought the children, how the disciples responded, and what Jesus said and did.

TALK · 5 MINUTES
  1. How do you think the children felt when Jesus welcomed them?
  2. What does this passage show us about how Jesus sees children?
  3. How could we help someone feel welcome this week?
DO · 2 MINUTES

Make welcome visible

Choose one person your family can welcome this week. Draw a card, invite them to join a game, or greet them by name.

PRAY · 1 MINUTE

“Jesus, thank You for welcoming children. Help us welcome others with Your love. Amen.”

Together with families

What happens at church can continue at home.

Parents and caregivers have a powerful role in a child’s spiritual life. Small, steady conversations often matter most.

Try this together this week

Read a short Bible passage. Ask, “What does this show us about God?” Let your child answer in their own words. Then pray one simple prayer together.

Bring their questions with you. We want to help families keep the conversation going.

Looking ahead

Where we hope to grow

The King’s Children can grow beyond Sunday teaching into experiences that build faith, skills, friendship, and family connection. These are plans in development; dates and partners will be announced when confirmed.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Monthly youth gathering

A regular time for young people to connect, learn, and take part in activities, building on Unity’s monthly fellowship rhythm.

IDEA TO EXPLORE

Hands-on youth day

Practical building exercises, such as making a birdhouse, could pair teamwork with confidence and new skills. A neighborhood partner may be invited.

LONGER-TERM VISION

More ways to grow

Mentoring, tutoring, arts, music, media, technology, leadership development, outings, and resources for parents and caregivers.
